The trail leads you toward the summits of Zekova Glava (2,117m) and Crna Glava (2,139m). From these vantage points, Montenegro lies at your feet—from the distant blue of the Adriatic to the white caps of Durmitor. Bjelasica is famous for its glacial lakes. During this hike, you will enjoy views of Pešića Lake, nestled at the foot of the peaks, and Šiško Lake, surrounded by dense forest. Part of the trail descends toward the edges of Biogradska Gora, one of Europe’s last remaining pristine rainforests No hike is complete without a break at a traditional katun. Here, you will have the chance to taste the famous Kolašin layered cheese, homemade bread, and dishes that highlanders have been preparing for centuries.
